The Nigerian Disease Control Center (NCDC) reported that from January 1 to February 17, 2019, a total of 355 cases of Lbada fever were confirmed in the country.

According to the situation report of the center on the outbreak (week 07), "25 new confirmed cases were reported: Edo, 6, Ondo, 2, Ebonyi, 1; Plateau, 2; Taraba, 4; Bauchi, Kogi, 1 and Kebbi, 1. Six new deaths at Ondo, 3, Bauchi 2 and Kogi, 1.

"Between 1 January and 17 February 2019, a total of 1139 suspected cases were reported in 19 states and FCT, of which 355 were confirmed positive, three probable and 781 negative (not one). suspected cases have been reported from 30 states and FCT. "

According to the report, 20 states; Edo, Ondo, Bauchi, Nasarawa, Ebonyi, Plateau, Taraba, FCT, Adamawa, Gombe, Kaduna, Kwara, Benue, Rivers, 57, Local Authorities, Kogi, Engu, Imo, Delta and Oyo Zones

The report further states that "during week 07, a new health worker was affected in the state of Edo, adding that a total of 13 health workers were affected since the beginning of the epidemic in seven states; Edo, 5; Ondo, 3; Ebonyi, 1; Enugu, 1; Rivers, 1; Bauchi, 1 and Benue, 1 with a death in Enugu.

"88 patients are currently being cared for in different treatment centers across the country.

"In total, 3872 contacts from 18 states were identified, of which 2600 (67.1%) are currently being monitored, 1227 (31.7%) have been followed up. 21 days and four (0.1%) were lost and 63 symptomatic contacts (1.6%) were identified, of which 41 (1.1%) tested positive, " report.
