The former PSG and Hull City midfielder would not have appeared in court while he had been summoned for failing to pay his income tax
Jay-Jay Okocha reportedly received a warrant of arrest from a high court of Lagos State, after objecting to his appearance in court to defend himself from the allegations tax fraud.
According to local reports, including the Premium Times, the state through its prosecutor, Jide Martins, filed suit in June 2017 against former Bolton star Wanderers for non-payment of his taxes and the non-remittance of his income.
Subsequently, the complaint began in October 2017 and the 45-year-old man did not appear in court several times, resulting in another adjournment until 11 April.

Earlier this year, an arrest warrant was issued to Okocha on January 29, which was not touched during the last hearing scheduled for February 19.
As a result of the recent negligence, the court ordered that the arrest be executed before the next hearing scheduled for April.
Okocha, former captain of the Super Eagles, has had a brilliant career as a player, both at the club level and at the national level, before hanging up in 2008.
The Nigerian footballer of the year seven times played a key role in the country's triumph at the 1994 Atlanta Olympic Games.
