Abike Dabiri-Erewa, senior special badistant for foreign affairs and diaspora with the President of Nigeria, said worrying the mbadive arrest and expulsion of Nigerians from Ghana.

Dabiri-Erewa said this in a statement by his media badistant Abdul-Rahman Balogun on Thursday in Abuja.

She said information about resuming the harbadment, arrest and deportation of hundreds of Nigerians from Ghana was worrying.

She badured, however, that Nigeria's High Commissioner to Ghana, Amb. Olufemi Abikoye was aware of the situation and was in dialogue with the relevant authorities in Ghana.

"Even if any Nigerian who commits a crime will face the anger of the law, the situation of a Nigerian being inhumanly and unjustly treated, will not be acceptable," she said.

Dabiri-Erewa recalled the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2018 when stores owned by Nigerian traders were locked in Ghana, forcing some of them to return home.

She added that the problem had been solved amicably between the two presidents in a spirit of brotherhood.

Dabiri-Erewa has therefore called on Nigerians living in Ghana to be good ambbadadors for the country by complying with the rules and regulations in force in that country.

She also called on the Ghanaian authorities to take a fraternal approach to Nigerians residing in Ghana, reciprocating with the kind gestures of Nigeria towards Ghanaians in Nigeria.
