Nigeria has secured the right to host the 9th edition of Miss Heritage Global, a global event intended to showcase its culture and rich heritage to the world.
Entertainment Economic Africa Group chairman Alhaji Musa Ibrahim Mantu announced at a press briefing Monday in Abuja,
He said Nigeria was able to secure the accommodation rights despite hard lobbying from countries like Vietnam, Russia and others who saw the economic potential of hosting the spinning event. money in Abuja.
Mantu said the event is a 10-day event starting on September 30 when the economic summit takes place, which will serve as a prelude to the global event, followed by meetings with ambassadors from participating countries that will culminate in the crowning of the winner. on the last day.
He thanked the Federal Ministries of Communications and the Digital Economy; Information, culture and tourism; Industry, trade and investments; Special Duties and the National Lottery Trust Fund for partnering with his group to host the event.
The event is designed to showcase different African heritages and diverse cultures from around the world, with a galaxy of stars present that is expected to be seen by over 100 million real-time viewers from around the world.
“The summit will also discuss and consider challenges affecting not only our beloved country Nigeria, but Africa as a whole. We will offer short, medium and long term solutions through a range of intellectual interactions of very healthy minds around the world.
We have invited world-renowned speakers and successful entrepreneurs and living legends as well as business students to participate in this African celebration, ”said the President of EEAG.
In his own remarks, President, Miss Heritage Global, Mr. Ndlanda Shabangu, said the event will showcase the tangible and intangible heritage of not only Nigeria, but all African content.
He said the scale of the event can be compared to the Second World Festival of Black and African Arts and Culture FESTAC ’77 which was held in Lagos in February 1977 with over 50 countries in attendance.
He called on all progressive Nigerians, Africans and the whole world to support the global event for the socio-economic freedom of the continent.
“Our goal is to showcase the giant of Africa and the economic hub of Africa to make Nigeria shine. The world consumes the greatest African culture all over the world from Nigeria. The history of the entertainment industry in Nigeria is changing the history of Africa. Regarding security, Mantu said insecurity is global and as such mechanisms have been put in place to ensure a smooth global event in the city of Africa’s economic center.
The 9th edition of Miss Heritage Global tagged, #AbujaToTheWorldworld, which will host both physical and online participants, will see participants from 60 countries, including Japan, France, US, UK, Canada, South Africa, Ghana and several other African countries.
