Brianna Esomchukwu, 18, a freshman at Texas Prairie View A & M University, was charged with aggravated badault on March 8.
According to University of Saskatchewan's Head of View A & M's Keith Jemison, Julisha Wyatt, her 19-year-old roommate from Esomchukwu, had bleach and burns. minor after the attack.
She was taken to a local hospital for red eyes.
Speaking to the WFAA, Wyatt's mother said that there had been friction between the roommates – especially since Wyatt complained to a councilor in residence that their apartment on the campus smelled of marijuana, which would have contributed to the incident.
A university spokesman said that Esomchukwu student enrollments and status were being reviewed, the WFAA reported.
