Don has been described as a very worthy person to win the award by a staff member of the Queen's School of Graduate Studies, Joanne Graham. She added that Gift had inspired many students and staff members with her work ethic and dedication.
Joanne said: "Gift is a very good student of the year. She has inspired staff and students with her work ethic and dedication to serving others at Queen's and around the world.
"She is pbadionate about supporting women, especially in her home country, Nigeria, where young pregnant women face difficulties in accessing education."
Gift's achievements have also been shared on the university's official Twitter page, @QUBelfast.

Reacting to this deserving recognition, Gift explained that she was very pleased to have won this award, reports Queen's University Belfast.
The gift said: "I am delighted – and very excited – to have been selected as First Trust Bank Student of the Year by First Trust Bank. I really enjoyed my three years at Queen's; S engaging in women's issues and speaking on behalf of international students is a personal pbadion.
"Queen's has given me a range of badytical, planning and leadership skills, which I know will be very helpful to me in my future career."
