Nigerians attack Ghanaian immigration agents in Kasoa

A social media video shows Nigerian nationals believed to be residing in Kasoa, in the central region, attacking Ghanaian immigration officers in their vehicles.

The immigration officers were in a van bearing the registration number GI 220.

The attackers are heard shouting, "Get wet, nobody moves. Here, no border.

Some of the badailants were seen putting wooden blocks and wooden objects to prevent the immigration vehicle from leaving the premises.

Immigration agents reportedly checked the Nigerians' residence permit.

Immigration officers watched the video helplessly as they struggled to move their vehicle prevented by several objects placed in front of them by Nigerian nationals.

Superintendent Michael Amoako-Atta, spokesman for the Ghana Immigration Service, confirmed the incident at Online chart "They (the officers) were going through normal operations to control foreign nationals who had no legal stay and they met those Nigerians who were trying to resist."
