Many Nigerians based in Ghana expressed disappointment at the country 's last – minute decision to delay presidential elections and national bademblies for a week.
Elections in Nigeria, scheduled to open on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 8 am, were canceled four hours later by the National Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and postponed until 23 February 2019.
Nigerians residing in Ghana who are not satisfied with the development believe that the government in place is a ploy to rig the elections, although INEC categorically stated that the postponement was due to logistical problems.
S addressing GhanaWeb, they complained that some of their colleagues had to leave their businesses behind to be able to vote and return to Ghana, but the unfortunate incident kept them in Nigeria at the expense of their companies.
"Postponement is never a good idea because most people in Ghana went to Nigeria because of elections. Now that they have canceled, do you expect them to leave Nigeria to go to Ghana and that they are waiting next time to vote and vote? "Said one of them.
He added that "it's unfair. When Nigerian leaders do something, they have to put their mbades to the heart before doing anything. "

The race between President Muhammadu Buhari and the main opposition candidate, the businessman and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was supposed to be difficult.
