Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, revealed that some Nigerians are now ordering their pizza in London.
He made this revelation by expressing his sadness at the unbridled import of goods into Nigeria.
The minister told the Senate Committee on Agriculture in Abuja on Tuesday that Nigerians imported pizza from London when he appeared before the committee to defend the ministry's budget for 2019.
According to the minister, orders for pizzas are usually delivered in the morning via British Airways.
"Do you know, sir, that there are Nigerians who use their cell phones to import pizza from London? They buy in London and bring it back to British Airways the next morning to pick him up at the airport, "he said.
"It is a very painful situation and we must act much more quickly to reduce some of these things," Ogbeh said.
Ghanaians will probably join the craze for pizzas because many have dubbed Ghana's pizza, Bread and Stew.
