Tomonobu Itagaki, creator of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive announced this weekend on his official Facebook page that he is forming a new independent studio called “Itagaki Games”.
“For four years I have been working as a teacher to teach the younger ones, but now I think I want to remake a game, and I have created a company for this purpose”, said.
Tomonobu was responsible for one of Tecmo’s greatest games in the 1990s and 2000s, with the founding of the Dead or Alive franchise and the acclaimed Ninja Gaiden reboot for the Xbox. But the creator ended up leaving the company with several complaints and a millionaire lawsuit.
Now, his goal is to found the company Itagaki Games to create new games and which would love to partner remotely with Xbox.
“I know Microsoft is still aggressive”, he declared. “If they come in contact with me, it would be an honor for me.”
