Nissan has announced the removal of 12,500 jobs worldwide over the next three years, as the Japanese automaker attempts to revive its business and recover from the ousting of its president, Carlos Ghosn.
The company, which employs around 8,000 people in the UK, has not revealed where job cuts would fall. The future of the Nissan plant in Sunderland raises doubts.
