(Reuters) – Nissan Motor Co Ltd will reduce its global production by around 15% for the fiscal year ending March 2020, as it moves away from the aggressive expansion campaign launched by former President Carlos Ghosn, announced Friday the newspaper Nikkei.
The Japanese automaker plans to produce approximately 4.6 million units during the 2019 fiscal year, according to the plans communicated to its suppliers. This decision should have an impact on the results and could harm its alliance with the French manufacturer Renault, said the Nikkei.
