Mr. Williams Nawugma Kidinang, the District Executive Chief (DCE) appointed in North Nkwanta of the Oti region, was confirmed by the assembly members.
The candidate received 15 of the total votes cast, a figure that represented 68.18 percent of the valid votes in an election conducted by the District Election Commission.
Seven members of the assembly, representing 31.82 percent, however, voted against the candidate.
The new Chief of the District Executive (DCE), in his acceptance speech, thanked the President for his confidence in him to serve the people of the district.
He assured that he would embark on various projects initiated by the outgoing WFD for the good of North Nkwanta.
He therefore called on all those who have a stake and a capacity in the development of the district to avoid any personal and partisan interest and to put their skills at the service of the services to improve the lives of the people.
Mr. Nawugma told the Ghanaian News Agency (GNA) that he was ready to serve with a strong team to leave a legacy for the assembly, a legacy that would be continued for all members of the assembly. feel motivated to contribute to the mission and vision of the Assembly.
Oti Regional Minister Joshua Makubu said the region’s development agenda will continue and thanked members for the honor.
