The lawyer for Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the pro-Biafra group, IPOB, said I was not speaking to him for the first time since his detention.
Di’s lawyer said Kanu said he was arrested for Kenya and brought back to Nigeria about three weeks ago to face charges of treason.
Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Alloy Ejimako, told the BBC that they allow me to see my client in the custody of the Nigerian secret police, for the first time since they brought me back inside of the country to be judged there.

According to Kanu’s lawyer, I say my client says he keeps him for a private facility in Kenya and shackles him to the bare ground for several days.
He claims he was beaten and tortured and held incommunicado before handing him over to Nigerian authorities.
But the Nigerian government is not responding to denials.

Kanu faces treason charges and is scheduled to appear in court on July 26.
