No dialogue with Dortmund on Zaha, insists Hodgson

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson made it clear that the Premier League club did not want to cash on Wilfried Zaha.

Roy Hodgson dismissed speculation linking Wilfried Zaha to Borussia Dortmund, stressing that Crystal Palace has not received any approach from the winger.

The leaders of the Bundesliga reportedly identified Zaha as Christian Pulisic's replacement at Signal Iduna Park. The American international would have joined Chelsea at the end of the 2018-1920 season.

However, Hodgson says that there has been no conversation between the two clubs and is confident that Zaha – who signed a new five-year contract in August 2018 – will stay at Selhurst Park.

"We do not know [about] that, "he said at a press conference after being asked about the rumors.

"There was absolutely no dialogue between Borussia Dortmund and the Crystal Palace Football Club.

"If I want to make comments every time a club is linked to Wilf Zaha, I will talk about it for a long time.

"Wilf has signed a long-term contract with Crystal Palace. He is really our player.

"I would be very surprised that there are clubs out there that would not think that it is very good, but that does not mean that they will try to buy it. "
