The director of political affairs in the office of the chief of staff, Mr. Frank Asiedu Bekoe, known in political circles as Protozoa, says the numerous protests by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its supporters may continue throughout year and will not change a thing because the good people of Ghana voted and chose President Akufo-Addo to lead them.
According to him, Ghanaians voted and re-elected President Akufo-Addo for a second term because of the good works he did when he received his approval four years ago.
Protozoa was speaking at Ayawaso West Wuogun constituency where he made an appreciation tour to thank voters for voting overwhelmingly for outgoing MP Ms. Lydia Seyram Alhassan and President Akufo-Addo.
“A few weeks ago, I was here to implore you to vote for President Akufo-Addo and Lydia Seyram Alhassan. You’ve listened and voted overwhelmingly for them, so I’m here to thank you all. We thank all Ghanaians for supporting the nuclear power plant. We are glad that you have chosen free education over building morgues and legalizing Okada. Because you voted for the Free SHS policy, you will see lawyers and doctors coming out of your family. God bless you all, ”Protozoa said.
He further urged the NDC protesters to conduct their protests in a civilian manner and advised them not to be violent or cause chaos in the exercise of their constitutional rights.
“Those who demonstrate can continue for 365 days, but they have to make sure they are obeying the laws. Demonstrations are a good way to exercise so that you can continue to demonstrate, ”he added.
The protozoa also promised voters that the nuclear power plant would do everything in its power to bring development to the constituency and the country as a whole.
“Your endorsement from President Akufo-Addo for another four years means you want the President to continue the good policies he implemented during his first term, like free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, NABCO, etc. and that is what the president and the NPP will continue to do for all Ghanaians.
Since we are here to thank you, we would like to assure you that we will continue with the development projects started during our first term ”- reiterated Protozoa.
