If doctors have told you to end your pregnancy not once but five times, you can take them at will.
But when Shelley and Rob Wall were advised to have an abortion after learning that their baby had "no brain", they stuck to their weapons.
And six years later, their son Noah challenged the odds – by "growing" his brain.
The sun reports that the brave youngster appeared on Hello Brittany with his parents to share his extraordinary story, which Richard Madley called a "miracle".
Although her parents were informed that there was no chance of her surviving, Noah exceeded all expectations.
Before Noah's birth, doctors doubted his survival.
Mr. and Mrs. Wall devoted their time to developing his brain and took him to Australia to a radical brain training center.
Here he learned to sit unaided and even managed to surf.
Noah now wants to learn to walk and wants to continue learning to surf and even ski.
Noah's treatment in Australia is called "neurophysics," a mix of physiotherapy and cognitive exercises.
Mr. Wall explained that experts do not usually give therapy to children because of the cognitive side but they were lucky enough to persuade them to see and evaluate Noah and prepare them for adulthood . cognitive processing.
"Everything is related to the brain's ability to heal or correct the body's nervous system."
In the uterus, only 2% of Noah's brain had developed and he also had spina bifida. Her brave parents refused to terminate the pregnancy five times.
At the age of three, another brain scan revealed dramatic brain growth – this time with an 80% brain mbad – an evolution that baffled the medical community.
Mr Wall said that many doctors felt that there was no brain there.
Still others thought that the brain was actually being crushed in a small space – and that after Noah's shunt adjusted, he returned to the position where he should have been.
"Even if his brain had been so tight, he would be severely mentally handicapped because of all this damage and would look at it – it's as bright as a pimple," Wall said.
He added that since they were older parents, the couple was more resistant to doctors calling to terminate the pregnancy.
"I think if the kids had that choice, maybe they felt compelled to take it.
"Because we are older parents, we know our own minds and we are positive people. We wanted to give Noah the chance of life. "
And it's profitable.
The doctors told the parents that Noah would be severely mentally handicapped – unable to speak, see, hear or eat.
But the six-year-old can do all those things.
Noah was born on 11/11 at 11 o'clock.
"We waited with our breath and put a" Do not resurrect "notification on Noah," said Ms. Wall, a mother of three.
Doctors who initially saw Mr. and Mrs. Wall in the UK recognize that the brave young man is "extraordinary".
The family sends them emails, photos, and updates on Noah's progress. The little boy even goes home to bring them presents at Christmas.
