Kotoko was eliminated from the CAF Confed Cup competition after finishing 3rd in Group C
Asante Kotoko's general manager, George Amoako, said the management was going to have a discussion with coach Charles Akonnor at the conclusion of his exit from the CAF Confederations Cup Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors were eliminated from the Confederations Cup after a 2-1 defeat by ZESCO United in Ndola on Sunday.
According to many rumors, the management of the Porcupine Warriors would like to dismiss coach Akonnor after being asked to submit his report on his campaign.
However, upon his arrival at Kotoko International Airport from Zambia, Mr. Amoako rejected the complaint.
"No one said that CK Akonnor would be sacked. We should stop all these speculations. Who said he had not done well, forget that. He did well to bring the team to the present. Just look where he picked the boys and the teams, "Amoako told Happy FM.
"We were playing against a mature team at this stage of the competition. We have learned a lot and CK is very well done with the team. "
Akonnor joined the club last October for a three-year contract.
