Noel Gallagher has always had a sense of words: he has written some of the best-known and most popular tunes of the last 25 years.
But the producer of Wonderwall is almost as famous for his eternal love of Manchester City as for his legendary escapades with Oasis.
In 2018-2019, City nearly won an unprecedented quadruple by bringing together the three national trophies proposed.
But their dramatic loss to Tottenham in the quarterfinals of the Champions League allowed them to fail what could have been a historic blow.
Manchester United won the Treble in 1999, winning the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
Gallagher, on Absolute Radio, was asked if he would rather see United win the quad, or watch his brother Liam play only his own songs at Wembley.
"I think I'd rather eat my own bad than look at it either," he replied bluntly.
"I would rather spoil a pizza and be force-fed than listen to murder her songs."
The Gallagher brothers have quarreled since the Oasis split in 2009.
Noel then trained Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and has released three solo albums since the acrimonious breakup.
Liam, meanwhile, continued to play with the Oasis group, Gem Archer and Andy Bell in Beady Eye, before embarking more recently on a solo career.
He has so far released an album and will release a second later this year.
