Nollywood star, Mr. Ibu, would suffer from a stroke

The Nigerian cartoon comedian John Okafor, aka Mr Ibu, reportedly suffered a stroke.

According to e-NIGERIA, the incident occurred while he was returning from Owerri, the capital of the state of Imo in Nigeria.

Mr. Ibu, 57, was reportedly taken to a traditional doctor for treatment and is currently responding.

The president of Nigeria's guild of actors, Emeka Rollas, has confirmed the news to the media in Nigeria.

He confirmed that the actor "Police Recruit" had actually suffered a stroke, but did not reveal the impact of the disease.

"I am aware that Mr. Ibu is actually suffering from a stroke, but he is recovering quickly and needs more of our prayers now," he revealed.

Mr. Ibu's family has not yet issued an official statement on this incident.
