Health officials in Los Angeles County are evaluating a non-resident case of measles that has been transiting through the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) while it's contagious and is also seeking to identify people who are living in Los Angeles. other people at risk of measles who may have been exposed to this person.

Public Health urges residents, especially those traveling abroad and those who are not fully protected against measles, to be vaccinated against measles to better protect their health and prevent the spread of measles to others.

Other people may have been exposed to measles since this person visited public places while it was contagious. Places and times of potential public exposure were as follows:

26/05/2019 – LAX Airport, Terminal 4, Gate 48B, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
28/05/2019 – LAX Airport, Tom Bradley International Terminal, Remote Portal, 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm

There is currently no known risk for measles at these sites.

Powbadan Viruses: Two Cases Reported in Susbad County, NJ

The New Jersey Department of Health is warning residents of a confirmed case of measles in a New York City resident who potentially exposed individuals in Union County on May 30, 2019.

Anyone who has visited the AristaCare Health Services Headquarters, 245 Birchwood Ave, Cranford, NJ 07016, May 30th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. may have been exposed to measles:

The Department recommends anyone who has visited the location listed above on the specified dates / times to immediately contact a health care provider to discuss a potential exposure and risk of developing the disease. If you have been exposed, you are at risk if you have not been vaccinated or if you have not had measles. People potentially exposed to these dates, if they are infected, may develop symptoms as late as June 20th.

Anyone who suspects an exposure is asked to call a health care provider before going to a doctor's office or an emergency department. Special provisions can be made for badessment while protecting other patients and medical staff from possible infections.
