Some 364 out of 366 delegates from Effiduase-Asokore reportedly expressed their preference for incumbent parliamentarian Nana Ayew Afriyie, who opposed the NPP in the 2020 polls.
After evaluating the results of MP Effiduase-Asokore after his two-year tenure, delegates will prefer that it not be challenged when the NPP will open candidatures to the constituency primaries.
They also voted "YES" to allow Ms. Nana Ayew Afriye to represent the constituency in Parliament for four years.
They explained that the constituency, on the initiative of Dr Afriyie, "was developing rapidly", congratulating him for having used his share of the Common Fund of Deputies to promote reforms in the fields of education and health.
According to them, the constituency needs the outgoing president's rich experience to preserve the votes of the NPP in the 2020 elections.
