Group of militiamen based in Kumasi affiliated with the New Patriotic Party [NPP]Delta Force was officially dissolved.
Kwadwo Bamba, head of the group, explained that the group was yielding to the call by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to all of these groups to halt their operations.
In an interview with NEAT FM, he said there was no longer a band like Delta Force.

"Officially, there is no group like Delta Force in the nuclear plant. After a series of meetings with party leaders, we agreed to dissolve the group to restore peace, but all members are still part of the NPP. " he said.
Bamba, who is now the deputy director of operations for the youth wing of the NPP, vowed never to see any group on behalf of the Delta Force conducting self-defense activities in the country before the 2020 elections.
The Delta Force dominated the news in 2017 after the group stormed the Ashanti Regional Co-ordination Council to forcibly drag out a security liaison appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
