Kwami Sefa Kayi, a journalist from Ace, criticized the government's inability led by Akufo-Addo to build the road to Lekma Hospital.
According to the Journalist of the Year 2017, the road in question has been under discussion for years and the NPP government has done nothing since coming to power.
He said that "with regard to the road to Lekma Hospital, the government has let us down".

Sefa Kayi reiterated that the NPP government had ignored calls from local residents.
Dr. Bernard Oko-Boye, MP for the region, also lobbied for the road to be repaired, but to no avail.
"As far as the road from Lekma Hospital to Manet is concerned, this government has let us down and it is very painful,he lamented pbadionately.
He urged the government and the NPP to show that they care or are concerned about getting on the road.
