A founding member of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, says his membership was suspended because he had the temerity to call the party hierarchy about a “ bad ” decision they took a few years ago.

According to him, the party’s determination to suspend its elected national president, Paul Akofo and its general secretary, Kwabena Adjei Agyapong and the second vice president, Sammy Crabbe, was and still is “a bad decision” to which it boldly stands. opposite.

Dr Nyaho told Okay FM’s Afia Pokuaa on “Egyaso Gyaso” that his stance on the issue led to his surprise suspension from the party.

“A few years ago, I spoke out in condemning the suspension of our elected national president, our secretary general and our second vice president. I thought it was undemocratic and on that basis I was suspended from the party. I had a letter but it did not come from the national leadership of the party but from the regional leaders, ”he said.

But contrary to party claims that his party membership is suspended, Dr Nyaho Tamakloe has nevertheless maintained that he remains an active member of the party.

“I am a member of the New Patriotic Party. I am a founding member of the party and have never joined any other political party. My contributions are not up to date because I didn’t have time to do it (pay) but that shouldn’t be a problem at all. I did not denounce the nuclear power plant, ”he said.
