NPP to Hold National Thanksgiving Service Sunday | Politics

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to host a national interfaith Christian thanksgiving service on Sunday, December 27, 2020 in the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

A press release issued and signed by party secretary general John Boadu on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, said the service aims to give glory to God for a peaceful 2020 election which saw the re-election of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo. -Addo.

The program is under the theme “Ebenezer, so far the Lord has helped us. For the battle belongs to the Lord ”(1 Samuel 7:12, 1 Samuel 17:47).

“The Lord has been so good to our dear country. We must therefore rejoice in his name and thank him for his grace and indenting blessings, ”he said.

Of the 13,119,460 valid votes cast in the presidential ballot, President Akufo-Addo won 6,730,587 votes, or 51.302%.

Its closest candidate, former Chairman John Maham of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), polled 6,213,182, or 47.359%.
