Bernard Antwi Boasiako, President of the Ashanti Regional Nuclear Power Plant
The ruling party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will retain political power in the 2020 general election, said Bernard Antwi Boasiako, president of the Ashanti regional NPP.
Boasiako, affectionately nicknamed "Wontumi," said nothing could prevent the party from overwhelmingly defeating the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2020, because the current administration of the opposition party is "in the dark". Akufo-Addo has placed Ghana on a solid foundation for economic prosperity.
He added that the NDC had drafted what he called "evil" plans for the 2020 elections, but that the good works of President Akufo-Addo would convince the electorate to expel them.
Addressing hundreds of NPP supporters at the party's regional Ashanti youth conference in Kumasi on Saturday, the influential NPP president said, "The NDC can not stop the NPP's victory in 2020" because the electorate is aware of the good work of the government. already."
"They can use all their evil tactics, but they would not succeed in preventing the NPP from retaining political power to continue its good deeds."
Wontumi added that the NDC had nothing good to offer the country and they (the NDC) would not capture the energy of the NPP.
According to him, Ghanaians appreciate the magnificent work of the NPP so far.
Wontumi also asked the youth branch of the NPP to work hard and commit to the party's victory in 2020 and congratulated them for their efforts in 2016.
"The youth of the members of the national forces make up the strength and future success of our great political party, and we build on our hopes to help them retain political power. Ghana's transformation and success depend on the best way to campaign for the party to win the 2020 elections, "said Wontumi.
The second lady, Samira Bawumia, Henry Nana Boakye, aka Nana B, National Youth Organizer of the NPP, and Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister and many representatives of the NPP, were present.
