There is always something to take to the NSMQ grand finale. There is the trophy, the trolls or even, unfortunately, the bag of the mistress of the quiz.
So who takes what? Defending champions St. Peters, five times Presec, Legon and St. Augustine's College, who watched the competition just a year ago, watched the home competition.

Round 4 saw the introduction of surrogates, Newton and Nathaniel, for Augusco and Presec, respectively.
The Augusco boys increased their lead by six in the first round to eight at the end of the second round. The boys from St. Peters need a miracle to make a comeback in this grand finale.

The contest entered the third round, where candidates are facing a problem – problem of the day. They will present their solution to Dr. Elsie Effah Kaufman, mistress of the quiz, who will then review and award points.

Round 1 proved to be a clash between the Cape Coast killers, St. Augustine's College and the sixth title, Presec Legon, with Augustine's boys leading the pack.
