In addition, said Dr Agyeman Yeboah, the lack of a back-up generator poses a major challenge for the proper functioning of the facility, especially during power outages.

Dr Agyeman Yeboah was speaking to modernghana.com in Nsoatre after taking delivery of assorted medical supplies from Godfred Donsah Foundation, a non-governmental organization founded by Ghanaian international footballer Godfred Donsah who plays for Bologna FC, a top Italian club but currently on loan to Turkish Super Lig club Caykur Rizespor in Turkey.

Items worth approximately £10,000 included standard hospital beds, pillows, sheets, urinary catheters, urine bags, free needles, syringes, gloves, an apron and nasogastric tubes, among several other items.

The donation was made in collaboration with the Forsports Foundation, with financial support from the UK National Police Charity and Collectco – Bristol, both from the UK.

Godfred Donsah’s parents, Mr. William Kwaku Takyi and Ms. Comfort Anane made the presentation on behalf of their son.

Dr Prince Agyeman Yeboah, who received the items on behalf of the health center, thanked the donors for their timely gesture, saying that “most of the items are consumables and they will go a long way in improving the delivery of health care in the health center. the establishment. ”

Hannah Kyere Donsah, the director of the Godfred Donsah Foundation, observed that most healthcare facilities face various challenges, hence the donation, adding that the Foundation expects more items in the coming months for distribution to health facilities and communities in need.

She said the Founder of the Foundation, Godfred Donsah, will travel to Ghana in the middle of the year to lead the following presentations upon his return.
