On Thursday, April 11, the National Union of Ghanaian Students set up a five-member committee to critically review the proposed Public Universities Bill proposed by the Ministry of Education.

The committee should bring together the views of students and student leaders across the country to ensure that concerns, views and suggestions are officially brought to the attention of the Ministry of Education.

According to NUGS, academic development is linked to improving governance and student development. It is therefore necessary that the union of student mothers pay a lot of attention to this bill.

The committee members are John Mark Bekui, a lawyer and former president of the CBC of the University of Ghana, Courage Kwasi Nobi, former secretary general of the NUGS and graduate student of the University of Professional Studies, and Pius Nimako, student. studied law at Central University College and currently serves as NUGS Secretary General.

The other members are Kobby Otchere Marfo, a former student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and currently press secretary and information officer of NUGS, and Knollis Delle, currently president of the university parliament development studies.

The committee should complete its work and report to the President of the Union for submission to the NUGS Central Committee for action.
