Mark Asibe Yeboah, MP for New Juaben South, said the number of Akufo-Addo government ministers was high, adding that a smaller number might have been enough to handle the country's affairs.
However, he was quick to add that the government's performance after the four-year term would justify its size.
Dr. Asibe Yeboah was one of the critics of the 80 ministers who worked under the previous John Mahama government, calling the number of ministers too high.

However, the NAP government shocked Ghanaians by appointing 110 ministers, a number that rose to 124 after the creation of six new regions.
The main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress and civil society, have criticized the government for its imposing size, accusing it of creating unnecessary ministerial portfolios for "family and friends".
