The Attorney General dismissed the claims, with the Justice Department leaning forward on the Kwesi Nyantakyi case. Gloria Akuffo explained, the A-G department is waiting for the complete raw and uncut tape to move the case.
But Anas' lawyer, Kissi Agyabeng, was not impressed by this explanation and pointed out that the A-G had already received all the requested documents.

Asiedu Nketia explained that the investigative documentary video broadcast in Accra and Kumasi in crowded rooms showed that Kwesi Nyantakyi was a politically connected person, a description that discourages governments, he said.
"The challenge of fighting corruption has been to deal with someone who is in touch with a particular government," said the man who said at several meetings of President John Mahama's cabinet.

He added that there could be deliberate mistakes during the prosecution process, aimed at helping the suspect to free himself.
"These lawyers know how to destroy cases," he said, explaining that erroneous accusations could be made and that arrests at the wrong time could help a suspect escape justice.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas has launched an online petition to collect signatures and put pressure on the government for it to take action. "I will now find a way to sign the petition," he laughed and noted that pressure from civil society groups was helping politicians to sit down.
He recalled the president as a candidate promised in 2015 to use what he called the "Anas principle", which uses infiltration methods to fight corruption.
Anas is there, the laws are in place and Akufo-Addo is president, he said, asking what could prevent the government from applying this principle.
"I want to convince them to prove to me that they are right," he said.
The NDC Secretary General said that the special prosecutor offered the best chance of a successful prosecution because it was created in the hope that it was independent of any political influence.
