Former Attorney General Yao Obed Asamoah congratulated President Nana Addo for her satisfactory results in some aspects of her governance.

"I think he's done well in some respects, but in other respects, we can criticize," he said on Friday.

Speaking on Eyewitness News' Point Blank segment, Mr Asamoah congratulated President Nana Addo on some initiatives [including the one district, one factory policy] it had been put in place by the government.

He was quick to point out, however, the loopholes badociated with some of these policies.

"You can criticize the idea of ​​a factory by district, for example. It's a good thing, but you do not build geographic identification factories. You place them where are the raw materials. We want to see that every district is developed, but we do not want to force industries into places where there are no raw materials to support them, "said Asamoah.

Amidu best man to fight against corruption

The former Attorney General also congratulated President Nana Addo for appointing another former Attorney General, Martin Amidu, to fight corruption.

"I worked with him [Martin Amidu] and he is good. He is above corruption. It's a compliment for the NDC because they could not find any man like this in the NPP, so they should celebrate his nomination, but they were fighting him instead, "he added.
