The goal of Kwadjo Obeng Jnr was the star man of the first win outside Hearts of Oak in the Special Cup of the Normalization Committee (NC) of the Ghana Football Federation (GFA).

The agile striker's lone strike in the first half made all the difference as the Phobian won the regional derby against Liberty Professionals at Carl Reindorf Park on the fifth day of the competition.

The result means that the Rainbow boys have for the first time recorded their second consecutive victory in the competition.

Meanwhile, Karela FC with a 3-1 win over Inter Allies has climbed to the top of Zone B with ten points, while Phobians are third with nine points.

However, in Zone B, Techiman Eleven Wonders defeated rivals Berekum Chelsea 2-0 to record their first win in the competition.

Asante Kotoko could not continue with his good form in Bechem, as they were held in a draw with Bechem United.

The Porcupines remain at the top of the group with 10 points, while their closest opponents, Ashgold, are on eight points and remain second after their home win against Medeama SC.
