OCP Africa needs to relaunch its OCP School Lab (OSL) agro-educational laboratory initiative in Ejura, in the Ashanti region, to support smallholder farmers in Ghana.
The pilot program was launched in Asesewa, in the east of the country, in November 2017, reaching 2,000 farmers in 20 communities with a single OSL truck.

This campaign also covered about 160 communities, with 21,325 farmers affected and sensitized to good agricultural practices.
During the first half of 2019, the campaign covered the eastern and eastern regions and was executed with two trucks covering 150 communities and reaching 22,325 farmers.
For the second half of 2019, OCP Africa is raising the campaign a bit higher, as OCP School Lab (OSL) is expected to arrive in Ejura in the Ashanti region with 3 trucks and is expected to reach 30,000 additional farmers in 160 communities in both countries. Ashanti and then upper west region.
OSL is a mobile soil laboratory that travels to remote areas to meet with smallholder farmers where they are, provides soil testing, and then makes recommendations for applying fertilizer that meet the needs. soil and crops.
OCP School Lab in Africa
Since 2016, more than 270,000 farmers in eight African countries have benefited from OCP School Labs, including Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Tanzania and Senegal.
