Boca Juniors has completed the signing of former Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi on a free transfer.
Boca announced Friday night in an official statement that De Rossi had signed a one – year contract.
It is understood that the 36 year old player has clauses allowing him to leave the club in December and March.
The Roman made 616 appearances in all the competitions for his team from his hometown, winning two Coppa Italia and one Supercoppa.
He also played 117 times for Italy, scoring 21 goals and lifting the World Cup in 2006.
However, he left the Giallorossi at the end of last season after being denied a new deal.
De Rossi was to join another Serie A team or retire, but instead, he realized a dream of always signing for the Argentine giants.
