Health officials are warning people about infections badociated with vaccinations practiced in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio since September 2018.
Officials at the Kentucky Department of Public Health said that infected people had redness, pain or tenderness, swelling, and the development of hard nodules or nodules at the injection site.
Vaccinations were administered by Immunization Rentals.
Until now, health officials are aware of vaccines administered in Columbus and Medora, said Doug Hogan at the Ministry of Health, while stating that there could be more sites.
Without medical care, health authorities said that infections would not be alleviated. Symptoms may not appear until 12 weeks or more after vaccination.
"If you have received the vaccine from this provider, we strongly encourage you to consider going through another cycle to ensure you are fully immunized and not at risk of contracting an illness," said Dr. Jeff Howard , Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Health, in a statement. "We believe that the negative side effects badociated with this study are related to improper storage and handling of the vaccine. We want to emphasize that there is no evidence to suggest that vaccine supply is a problem. "
Howard stated that the provider had stopped vaccinating and that there was no permanent risk to the public.
Health officials are asking all businesses located in a city not listed below and believe that Vaccination Rentals, or anyone who represents them, has vaccinated employees so that they can call 502-564-3418. and immediately notify their employees.
