Olivia Attwood fought back to a troll who sent her a vicious message after paying a sincere tribute to her former Love Island lover, Mike Thalbaditis, who died tragically on Saturday.
The 27-year-old reality TV star shared a direct message that an Instagram user, Eleanor, had sent her where she had described Olivia as "b ****" for her message about Mike – 26 years old.
Olivia shared the message to show the level of abuse she's receiving as a result of Mike's pbading – with whom she briefly came out with the ITV hit show in 2017.
The offensive message that was sent to him read as follows: "It's disgusting, it was a great person and you like it, but that's all you can say about it. You b ** h.
Posing a screenshot of the message on her Instagram stories, Olivia explained that she did not want to attract the attention of the troll, but that she needed to highlight the abuses committed in light of the tragic suicide from Mike.
"I was not going to recognize it, but I had some messages like this, so we are there," she began.
"Who can say what I need to post on my social networks? I decide what's appropriate, not you!
"This time it was Mike's family and the people he was really close to and that's all," she continued.
"Worlds gone crazy. Perhaps this is why Instagram is full of lenient bulls *** and people are puzzled when you do not comply with these strange norms, "she continued.
Returning to the abuser, she added, "The absolute clown is Eleanor" – and the troll subsequently deleted his own account.
Olivia had initially marked Mike's death by sharing a picture of them with an emotional message.
"Literally, I do not know what to say. Another part too young, "she wrote at the time.
"Thinking of Mike's family and friends in that awful time. We will miss you terribly, "she added.
