Olivia Newton-John's husband, John Easterling, badured fans that actress Grease remained strong amidst her battle with cancer.
The singer fights for the third time against cancer, after fighting the disease in 1992, after a partial mastectomy and reconstruction, and then on her return in 2013.
During an appearance at Channel Nine's Today Show in Australia, John revealed that actress Grease had a positive feeling.
"Olivia is doing extraordinarily well," he said. "We have just returned from the Bahamas, swimming and boating. It's a very impressive story with Olivia. "
The businessman went on to explain that the star was using medical cannabis to help him cope with the pain caused by the disease.
"From the start, cannabis is not a panacea, but an extraordinary plant with a multitude of benefits," said John. "For (Olivia), this has really eased the pain and if you look at cannabis studies, you will see a wide range of uses, not just with cancer and cancer-related pain."
Despite the challenges presented by cancer, the 70-year-old Australian singer told Entertainment Tonight in March that she intended to live up to every day.
