Olivier Giroud and Callum Hudson-Odoi were two of Chelsea's heroes in the Europa League win against Malmo on Thursday.
And it is fair to say that the Frenchman is incredibly proud of the English teenager.
The future of Hudson-Odoi remains uncertain, Maurizio Sarri refusing to bow to public pressure to give him more playing time at Stamford Bridge.
The teenager has not started a Premier League game this season, with six appearances on the bench and the victory of Malmo was his first start for the Blues since the closure of the January transfer window.
Hudson-Odoi had been the subject of much interest in January, especially from the German giant Bayern Munich, who had made three offers for the service of the 18-year-old, all rejected by Chelsea.
Bayern was willing to pay about £ 40 million for Hudson-Odoi, but Chelsea remained firm.
But Sarri, under pressure following a series of mediocre results, did not give Hudson-Odoi the play time he so desires.
Giroud thinks that Hudson-Odoi should be part of the first team, so his comments are self-evident.
The French striker made an incredible comparison when talking about Hudson-Odoi at BeIn Sports.

Giroud thinks so much about Hudson-Odoi that he's checked out Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Kylian Mbappe, when he was questioned about it.
Giroud said: "Callum Hudson-Odoi is a very talented young player who looks like Kylian Mbappe."
Praise indeed.
