The 2019 Oscar nominations were unveiled on Tuesday and, again, no African film was on the list.
Nigerian actress Omotola Ekeinde used Instagram to express her disappointment at the fact that African films are not nominated at the Oscars.
However, she added that she thought that one day African films would be given a place at the Oscars.
"The nominations are over! So glad that most of the movies I have named have come to that. Then vote to determine the winners! … Has not been so enthusiastic No African film has done! Someday, we will do it soon for Africans! She said in a post on Instagram.
The 2019 Oscars will be held on February 24 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
