One person died in a clash between chiefdoms in Gomoa Nyanyano in the central region.

Frank Ayikwe, a former town principal, recounted the incident to Citi News.
“We performed all the rituals for the new leader, which is why we held the installation ceremony. During the process, we learned that armed men were attacking our sanctuary. The police were present at the time but could not do anything, so we had to use force to get through the doors of the shrine. Our attackers also destroyed some of our properties.
Ama Adadziwaa, the deceased’s sister, wants the authorities to get the perpetrators to book.
Meanwhile, the body of Kwesi Amoasi (deceased) was deposited at Kasoa Polyclinic.
