One of the suspects in the NDC party office in Kumasi was arrested

– Another person was arrested in connection with the shooting at the National Democratic Congress Party (NDC) party office in the Ashanti region.

– Police in the region said 12 people wanted for the incident of the shooting

Police arrested another suspect linked to the murder of National Democratic Congress (NDC) member Abdul Wasiru Iddrisu.

The deceased was killed in February 2019 after being the victim of a violent brawl at the CND regional secretariat in Kumasi.

He was reportedly shot three times as a result of a shootout between two party self-defense groups.

The Ashanti Regional Police then launched a manhunt for 12 suspects suspected of being involved in the incident by gunshot.

On Friday, April 26, 2019, police arrested another suspect, Sulemana Fuseini, in connection with this case.

The Daily Graphic reports that Sulemana Fuseini, better known as Akon, was stopped by a mob at Kenyasi Abirem in Kumasi.

The suspect was stabbed several times by the crowd before being finally arrested in his hiding place.

However, police intervened and sent him to the Komfo Anokye University Hospital (KATH) for medical care.

Akon was later taken into police custody pending his court appearance next week.

Meanwhile, three of the 12 suspects have already presented to the Ashanti Regional Police.

These are Dauda Ibrahim aka 'Wayo', 40 years old; Samuel Agyin aka "Rock", 32, and Abdul Ganiyu, 37, "Small."

This brings to four the total number of suspects arrested by the police for the killing of Wasiru.
