Titus Glover
The seat of the Parliament of Tema East, which is currently occupied by Titus Glover, the ruling party of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), can not be annexed by the candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a man with serious financial power.
"People may be disenchanted and ready to vote for the entire Tema East NPP, but we will need considerable financial means to carry out a serious campaign, as well as a serious security during the elections", said Stephen Ashitey Adjei, who is popular. called Moshake, said in a statement issued to the Ghanaian news agency in Accra.
According to him, it was imperative that the NDC elect former Tema Metropolitan CEO, Kempes Ofosuware, for the Tema East parliament ticket for 2020.
"There are a number of highly qualified people for the parliamentary ticket, among others; Baba Abu Abdulai, former district secretary, Mr. Noah Afedo, food industry business man and Mr. Isaac Ashai Odamtten, American lecturer and former mayor of Tema, but none of them It's as seductive as Kempes; and none of them has the kind of good relationships to bring together the kind of money we need to run a good campaign, "said Moshake.
"The policy is not to know who is a native or Mr. Asphalts, but a person who has the financial means to win political laurels."
Moshake also pointed out that Kempes had already defeated Titus Glover in the legislative elections, before losing controversially against the MPP MP by three votes in 2012 after a recount that Kempes should never have allowed.
"In 2016, Kempes lost by some 4,000 votes because he was the victim of the unpopularity of our presidential candidate, former president Mahama.
"Ofosuware has not yet announced its intention to run for Parliament's ticket for 2020 for Tema East, but many people are already waiting for it to represent the NDC."
