President Nana Akufo-Addo praised the achievements of her government, saying that he and his team have managed to keep 41 campaign promises over the past two years.
"Forty-one promises made by the NPP and its presidential candidates within two years have already been delivered, and have been fulfilled at the present time," he said during the meeting. last rally of the NPP before the partial election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
"We came to repair Ghana, and these two years, only the blind or the dead are unaware that we have actually done something," he added.
On the eve of 2019, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia enumerated 40 promises that the Akufo-Addo government held in the space of two years.
These included the free high school program, the interoperability of mobile money, the digital addressing system, the supposed stabilization of the cedi, the national identity card system, the reinstatement of nursing internships, among others.
But many of the promises, projects, policies and laws cited by the government have simply been launched or are in various stages of implementation.
For example, while the government claims to have kept the promise to create six new regions, the process has just pbaded the referendum phase in December 2018.
According to Dr. Bawumia, the promises made are:
• We promised Free SHS to reduce the difficulties of the parents and we gave the results.
• We promised to reinstate teacher training allowances to reduce the difficulties of trainee teachers.
• We promised to reinstate nursing education allowances to reduce the difficulties of nursing trainees.
• We promised to create a Zongo Development Fund and we gave the results.
• We promised to put more emphasis on agriculture through the Plant to Feed and Create Jobs program, and we delivered the desired results.
• We promised to issue national identity cards, and we deliver.
• We promised to put in place a system of digital addresses of national goods and delivered them.
• We promised to digitize the clearance of goods in the ports through paperless ports, and we delivered the goods.
• We promised to create three development authorities (North, Central and Coastal) and we gave the results.
• We promised a One District One Factory program and we deliver our products.
• We promised a One Village One Dam program and we are working hard.
• We promised a One District One Warehouse program and we deliver our results.
• We promised to put in place a Nation Builders Corps program to reduce the hardships of unemployed graduates, and we delivered
• We promised to put in place a national entrepreneurship and innovation program to provide support and reduce entrepreneurs' difficulties, and we delivered
• We promised to put VALCO back in business and we delivered the goods.
• We promised to leverage our natural resources to secure an innovative infrastructure financing agreement with Sinohydro worth $ 2 billion.
• We promised to establish an integrated bauxite and aluminum industry and deliver
• We promised to implement the interoperability of mobile money and we delivered the results.
• We promised to reduce the price of electricity and we delivered.
• We promised to reduce the difficulties of obtaining a driver's license and we delivered the goods.

• We promised to create a Financial Stability Board and we delivered
• We promised to reduce single-digit inflation and we kept our promises.
• We promised to reduce interest rates and we are doing our best.
• We promised to keep our exchange rate relatively stable, despite global volatilities, and we kept our promises.
• We promised to reverse Ghana's trade position with the rest of the world from a deficit to a surplus, and we delivered on our commitments.
• We promised to reduce taxes and reduced and eliminated 17 different taxes in two years. We delivered
