The Coalition of Young Lawyers under the Coalition for a Good Governance Initiative (GGIC) rejected the boycott order of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
It is even while the group backed President Muhammadu Buhari in his fight against corruption and the suspension of the President of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen.
The coordinator of GGIC, Barr. Hussaini Saraki revealed the group's support to Buhari at a solidarity rally at Unity Fountain in Maitama, Abuja.
Saraki urges lawyers placed under the umbrella to ignore the two-day boycott of the court ordered by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)
He pointed out that respect for the boycott order would be the result of a rapprochement with allegedly highly corrupt citizens working for their selfish gains.
Saraki pointed out that the group belonged to the cabinet and thought that no one was above the law, including the CJN.
Stay away from the rivers, says the government in Amaechi
The group asked why the NCJ had not acted honorably in resigning, since he had already accepted the charges against him.
They therefore pointed out that it was right that the CJN be set aside while the prosecution case was settled.
"You can not expect the CJN to chair a committee and judge against itself. In fact, it is contrary to the doctrine of natural justice to allow the suspended NCJ to be judge in his own case.
"It would have been more honorable if he had retired on his own," the group said.

They called on the National Assembly to do nothing that could jeopardize President Buhari's efforts in the fight against corruption.
