Human rights defenders, Andy Yiadom, will miss the Black Stars when they face Kenya in the qualifying match for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Accra on March 23rd.
It was expected that the Reading player would take the lead from the start since the two nations are fighting for first place in Group F, but that will not be the case.
Yiadom was injured while he showed up at Reading against Stoke City at the English championship this weekend.
Following this unfortunate incident, coach Kwesi Appiah summoned Royal Antwerp defender Daniel Opare to take part in the match.
The Black Stars are expected to begin training for the match Tuesday night at the Accra stadium.
