Minister of Information and Member of Parliament ForOase Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah sponsored some 400 voters in a fully paid apprenticeship program.
They must undergo training in hairdressing, sewing, welding, carpentry and other trades.
The full cost and logistics for the training were borne by the deputy.
In a Twitter post, he mentioned his action was an “opportunity to reproduce the love of Christ” as the world celebrates Good Friday.
“God, help us to be successful,” he said.
He also took the opportunity to inspect the works of the Akyemansa sports complex, which he says is now 70 percent complete.
“We can’t wait to have the Black Stars here someday,” he said.
He added that the Akokoaso-Kumanin road in Ofoase Ayirebi constituency has also started to gain attention.
The MP said that once completed, the road will shorten the journey to Accra through Kumanin Forest.
He further mentioned that “Chia has also received a mobile phone mast to improve connectivity and economic activity.”
He ended his constituency tour at a Youth Town Hall meeting in Brenasi where he engaged young people on the events of 8e Parliament.
He was accompanied by Obrimpong Dubi Nti (Ofoasehene), DCE Paul Asamoah and President Obeng.
