Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, said Thursday’s military raid on Orlu and Orsu local government areas of Imo State marked the start of the second Nigeria / Biafra war.

IPOB, which made the statement in a press release from its media and publicity secretary Emma Powerful, said Nigeria has officially declared war on Biafra by launching a military raid on unarmed civilians.

The army admitted on Thursday that it had launched ground and air operations against agents of the eastern security network, ESN, who are said to be in the forests of Orlu and its surroundings.

IPOB argued that the military had no justification for launching an attack on ESN, a mere vigilante group protecting residents of the Eastern Region from terrorists and killer shepherds while bandits who sack the country are intact.

The pro-Biafra movement is committed to defending the lands of Biafra against occupation by pastoralists, whatever the cost.

Biafran’s earlier attempt at autonomy after a series of attacks against easterners residing in some northern states led to a bloody 30-month civil war between 1967 and 1970.

The IPOB said the Biafrans had no choice but to self-defense as the world remained silent despite complaints and petitions of unprovoked genocidal attacks by killer shepherds and terrorists against indigenous peoples in the United States. Nigeria.

IPOB accused Governor Hope Uzodima of supporting the military raid and threatened serious consequences for everyone involved in the attack.

IPOB accused the federal government of double standards for using brutal force against peaceful agitators, but for negotiating with bandits and asking them for amnesty.

IPOB urged all Biafrans to unite in the defense of their ancestral land against invasion and occupation by shepherds.
