Reports in France this week have designated Arsenal as a possible destination for Pepe, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter Milan also reportedly agreed to an agreement with Lille.
Arsenal's capture of Pepe would be a huge coup for Emery, who also signed Dani Ceballos and William Saliba this week.
If Pepe finishes a move, it would put an end to Arsenal's interest for Wilfried Zaha, thus leaving Everton and Chelsea fight for the Crystal Palace star.
